Calvin Levis Awbrey, Jr., age 65, passed away from this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Odessa, Texas. He was born in Bakersfield, California on Friday, February 21, 1947 to Calvin Levis Awbrey, Sr. and wife Faye (Holland) Awbrey. Awbrey Levis worked for Big Dave's Rentals in Odessa.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Maria Awbrey of Monahans, TX; four sons: Calvin Levis Awbrey III of Kermit, Jimmy Awbrey and wife Yvonee of Witchita Falls, TX, Brian Awbrey and wife Claudia of Kermit, and Alex Awbrey of Witchita Falls; and nine grandchildren; Ashley, Taylor, Austin, Devin, Brayden, Jayden, Andrew, Maria and Matthew.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Faye Awbrey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Eastside Church of Christ in Kermit, officiated by Brotehr Gene Collins. Interment will follow in Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor.

Calvin had been married to OHS Class of 65 classmate, Bonnie Riggs. They had divorced and both remarried but were the parents of Calvin's oldest three sons. Bonnie passed away 11 days after Calvin. Sadly on July 18, 2013, their oldest son, Calvin Levis Awbrey III, was killed in an oilfield accident when he was overcome by H2S gas and fell from a tank battery just west of Kermit.
