Pamela LaRue Blansett

Pamela LaRue Blanscett, aka "Rue," 60, of Midland City, Ok, passed Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Norman Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Born Feburary 11, 1947 in Midland, TX to Thomas Troy Blanscett, Sr. and Opal Fayerene Cook.  Preceded in death by both parents.  Survived by: Life partner of 26 years Carolyn Pullen and her daughtter Cynthia Ann and husband Ray Winder and grandson Jose Reyes, Jr. of Midwest City, OK.; Brother-Thomas Troy Blanscett Jr. and wife Shirley of Denison, TX, Sister-Angies and husband Johnnie Crain of Denison, TX.  Nieces and nephews of Denison/Sherman, TX area Leann Nelson, Michelle James, Thomas Troy Blanscett III, Stacey Duncan, Mickie Perry, and David Ray.   And lastly 8 beautiful great nieces and nephews.

Rue experienced life to its fullest.  She loved her gardening and her many hobbies.  It gave her great pleasure to create and paint her ceramics and design and make jewelry for the special ladies that she swam with at Rose State College.  She enjoyed trveling, camping and seeing the many wonderful places across the United States and Canada.  However, in her later years her camping moved from the camp sites with tents and sleeping bags to hotels with room service.  She loved her family deeply and some of her fondest memories were her montly visits to Denison, TX when all the family would get together and eat, and catch up on what was happening in everyone's life. 

Rue left a message for all her family and friends; Don't cry for me.  Don't be sad that I died.  This life is over but I believe tht another more important one will take me where I need to go so I can become a better soul in the next life.  Live your life each day like it is your last.  Appreciate one another and our differences.  Peace and Harmony to all.  Hope and Joy, Share a Hug from me to you. 

The familly wants to express the deepest appreciation to all the professional people who have cared for Rue these past months.  The family also wants to express a special thank you to all of Rues' friend for all the support they have shown during these hard times.

A small memorial gathering for friends and family to reminisce about out fond memories of Rue will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home located at 1820 S. Douglas Blvd. Midwest City, OK 73130, 405-733-2991.
