Grace Loreen Kerr departed this life on September 20, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia.  She was born in Dallas, Texas December 20, 1946 to Ruby Faye Picknell and John Haden Burks.  She was the youngest of three sisters and one brother.  Grace moved with her mother and father to Odessa when she was in elementery school as her older siblings had left the home.  She attend Bowie Junior High and Odessa High School where she was active in choir.  She graduated with the class of 1965.  

After high school she attended West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M) in Canyon, Texas for two years.  Her mother and father had relocated from Odessa to Arlington in 1968,  She married Michael Nelson in Arlington 25, 1969 and they were the parents of a daughter, Monica Diane.  They divorced after Monica was born and she married John Kerr in Arlington in 1972 in Arlington.  They divorced in 2001.  After their divorce Grace relocated to Richmond, Virginia and she retired with American Airline with 25 years of service.  

Grace was predeceased by her parents and by her sisters, Pearl, Wanda and Johnnie and by her brother Brady.  She was survived by her daughter, Monica Caressimo of Trophy Club, Texas and her wife Sherri Young of the home,
