In Memory

Suzanne Carmichael (Ortiz)

Suzanne Ortiz, 72, beloved Wife and Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on August 29, 2019. She entered this world on February 20, 1947, in Waco, TX. She is survived by her husband Roberto Ortiz; brother Tim Carmichael (wife Melba); son Bryan Goodson (wife Stephanie); daughters Marissa Ortiz, Lorena Salazar (husband Jaime), Lisa Ortiz; grandsons Anthony, Miguel, Mateo, and Alejandro; granddaughters Laura, Iliana, and Mia; and her two feline companions Raja and Louie. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mozelle (née Lewis) Carmichael and Brother John Carmichael Jr.

Suzanne was talented at many things including crafting, baking, sewing, beading with her friends, and shopping with family. She loved traveling the country and the world, spending time at the beach, was a voracious reader, and an avid Red Raider fan. Throughout her life she was never afraid to speak her mind, passionate about her beliefs, and compassionate to all, including the many, many animals she took in as pets. Deeply loving of her husband and her family, she took great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her presence and positive spirit will be greatly missed by all. To carry on Suzanne’s legacy of compassion the family asks that in lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to your local animal shelter or Hope Alliance of Round Rock Women’s Shelter.

Per her wishes, Suzanne is to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
