Midland-Alice Mahurin was born in El Paso, Texas on May 25, 1946.  On April 26, 1968, she married her soul mate, Nelson Coy Mahurin, and they lived inseparable until his death in 1999.  She worshipped her grand babies and her boys.  God's greatest gift is returned to God, our mother. 

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents, C B Choate, Sr. and Mary Choate; brother, Tommy Choate and wife Nancy; and sister-in-law, Patsy Weir. 

Alice is survived by her sons, Coy Barry Mahurin and wife Cissy, and Christopher Brent Mahurin and wife Mari; brother, C B Choate, Jr. and wife Cathy; sister, Sadie (Choate) Reams and husband Dean; grandchildren; Heather "Coco" Mahurin and husband Justin Pierson, Christopher "Tyler" "Her Bubba" Mahurin, Kaitlyn Alece Mahurin, great-granddaughter; Alivia Rayleigh Pierson; step-granddaughters, Trinity and Jordan Braswell; brother-in-laws, Ray Mahurin and family and Bill Jay Weir and family; sister-in-law, Sue (Mahurin) Weir and family; and multiple nieces and nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3 from 6-8 pm at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland.  A funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 4 at 3:00 pm at the Ellis Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.  Online condolences may be made at www.ellisfunerals.com.
