Gary W Goodson

G. W. Goodson, of Lubbock, died on September 5, 2009. He was born on March 24, 1946 in Garden Valley, Texas to the late Henry and Callie Gilley Goodson.

After graduating from Odessa High School, he served in the US Navy, and later graduated from the University of Phoenix. He was a retired mudd engineer and instructor.

Survivors include one brother, Larry Goodson and wife Wanda of Odessa; four sisters, Shirley Boyce of Lubbock, Peggy Davis and husband Dan of Odessa, Doris Cox of Waco and Kathy Goodson of Lubbock; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 with Rev. Jim Brown of Monterrey Baptist Church officiating.

Lindal Theodore "Ted" Van Meter, Jr

G.W. GOODSON WAS MY OLDEST FRIEND. HE DIED IN 2013 I BELIEVE. HE HAD THROAT CANCER. I MISS HIM ALOT.

Jimmie John Robinson

Gary and me roomed together in the early 80s...He went with me to watch me rodeo...I had him working the gate latch a couple times and the first time, he was scared to death...But, he overcame it and asked to do it at the next rodeo...

That is Gary in the white shirt with his foot on the gate ready to jump up...Me ridin...

Gary died Sept. 5, 2009..
