Dale and I grew up in the rougher part of Odessa and were friends for years. Several of us neighborhood kids would sit in his car many nights and drink a cold one (obtained illegally) and listen to Wolf Man Jack on KOMA. He was always laughing and cutting up. When I got home from the Marine Corps, Dale was the first one of my friends to come by the house. He was a good one.
