Bryant and I were in the first grade class together at Austin Elementary. He lived on Golder Ave. not too far from where I lived. We became good friends at Crockett along with Ed Cox, Monte Garrett and Billy Raspberry. Bryant and I used to wear our white sports coats to the Crockett informal dances thinking we were so cool. We weren't but we thought we were anyway. We remained good friends thru high school but I pretty well lost contact with him once we graduated. I regret that in that he was such a good friend and person. As is the case of many others, he left us way too soon. But, I do have dozens of great memories of our friendship.
