Lana Janette Maddoux (Narey)

Celebration of Life services for Lana "Sam" Narey, 59, of Lubbock, will be at 4 p.m., Friday June 9, 2006 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilson and Rev. Randy Hamilton officiating. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Eden Cemetery in Eden, with Rev Mark Bethune officiating.

After a long courageous battle with cancer, Sam passed away Wednesday June, 7, 2006 in Lubbock.

She was born Feb. 3, 1947 in San Angelo to the late Carl V. and Dean Maddoux.

She was a secretary at Frenship ISD. Previously she traveled on the craft show circuits as TLC Designs selling ladies accessories. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Mark "Buddy" Maddoux and a son-in-law Steve Ault.

Sam is survived by two daughters, Elaine and husband Gary Cogburn and Lorrie Ault; a sister Carla Maddoux; and grandchildren Natanie Cogburn, Taylor Ault, Taryn Ault. The family suggests memorials to Vista Care Hospice or Joe Arrington Cancer Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m.
