Madelyn Carol Cochran (Farmer)

MONAHANS Porter "Van" Rosenbaum O'Keefe, age 64, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, in Odessa.

He was born December 7, 1946 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Porter Davis and Pauline (Van Horn) O'Keefe. He was a retired
alcohol and drug abuse counselor for Clover House in Odessa. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, September
15, 2011, at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial
Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Harkey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn O'Keefe; his aunt, Angel Boring of Odessa; 2 cousins, Dixie Boring Bassett of
Abilene and Julie Boring Harrell and husband George of Houston; 1 step-son, Michiel Liddell of Beeville; 1 step-
daughter, Amber Worster and husband Todd of Monahans; 8 grandchildren, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tree of Life Church Pantry at 1325 E. 4th Odessa, Texas 79761, Ward
County Senior Citizens Center, or the charity of your choice.

Van went to Crockett and lived down 9th street, across from George Stowe. We all walked home together, along with - sometimes - Gloria Cargal or Mary Ann Rhodes. Mostly, I think, Van and George tried to avoid walking home with us girls. :-D Mad
