ADA, OKLA. Virginia A. Spradling, age 65, of Stonewall, OK, native of Odessa, TX., passed away peacefully at her home after battling brain cancer on November 3, 2012 in Stonewall, OK, with her family by her side.
She was born in Odessa, TX on 7-12-1947. Virginia attended Austin Elementary, Odessa High School, and Odessa Jr. College, then went to beauty school and became a great beautician. Then off to the boating business till she retired in 2003. After retirement, she worked on her ranch running tractors, building ponds, herding cattle and she loved her horses. Virginia was an outgoing woman who dearly loved her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Yowell Joyce Sherrill and mother, Lottie Ruth LaDair Nowlin Sherrill.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Ronnie L. Spradling, of Stonewall; father-in-law, Howard Frasier; mother-in-law, Dorothy H. Frasier; two brothers, Yowell Michael Sherrill (wife Teddi M. Sherrill) of Las Vegas, NV, Charles Howard Sherrill of Robert Lee, TX; brother-in-law, Bob Wheeler; sister-in-law, Judy Wheeler; three daughters, Kimberly J. Long of San Antonio, TX, Charla L. Sanford (fiancé, Tom Ashley) of Niceville, FL; and Katrine Cherry of Dothan, AL; 6 grandchildren, Christopher E. McAnear, (fiancé, Shelia Harjo) of Ada, OK, Brandon D. McAnear (wife Chelsey) of Longview, TX, Kayla R. Adams (husband Willie) of Stonewall, OK, Christopher D. Sanford, Geoffrey D. Sanford of Niceville, FL, and Austin Cherry of Dothan, AL; and four great grandchildren.
Ceremony to be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Christy will officiate.
Following the ceremony there will be a gathering at her ranch at 27265 CR 3620, Stonewall, OK 74871.
In lieu of flowers she wanted donations sent to her church, Union Valley First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1343, Ada, OK 74821.
