James Curtis White

"Somewhere someone rang a bell, and an angel received his wings"

James C White, 75 of Odessa, Texas, went to his final rest on Thursday, November 24, 2022, in Odessa of heart disease. He had suffered with this for many years.

He was born to Gordon H. White and Eva Jo Turner White in Paris, Texas, on July 9, 1947. Both parents preceded him in death. He was the oldest son of three boys.

James was happily married to Rosetta Balog White, his soul and helpmate his entire adult life. They were married in Stanton, Texas, on March 23, 1966. They were the proud parents of two children: Rhonda (Jimmie Lee) and Jim White. James raised his family in Odessa where he had resided. He called West Texas home. James was a proud member of the Odessa High class of 1965.

James went to work for El Paso Products and continued to work in the same plant for 41 years until retirement for the various owners. James retired in 2005. James was very family minded and he constantly worried and cared for them. He enjoyed his gardening, watching hummingbirds and genealogy. James considered himself better than average domino (42) player and enjoyed all games. 

 James is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren Nick Clifton (Keitha), Brandon Curtis, Hannah Goodman (Justin), Mason, Jaden and Savannah White; great grandchildren, Preston Curtis, Jason and Kiersten Goodman; siblings Gordon White (Marsha) of Woodlands and Mike White (Surina) of Odessa.

James was extremely proud of all his family and was a very good PawPaw. He enjoyed life in all aspects. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

James will be laid to rest in the family plot at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022. at 11:00am.
